Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm.
Occasional Saturday working on a rota basis during peak periods, with additional pay.
Occasional late evening cover on a rota basis during busy periods, with additional pay.
Flexibility required during seasonal peaks.
Permanent, Office based role

Location: Commutable from Leeds, York, Tadcaster, Castleford, Garforth, Wetherby, Aberford and Pontefract.

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting for a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join a busy and growing organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, combining payroll processing with HR administration responsibilities.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. The role will involve managing the full payroll process, supporting employees with payroll queries, maintaining records, and assisting with a range of HR administration duties.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and respond to payroll and HR-related queries.
Collate and process employee working hours.
Complete end-to-end weekly payroll processing.
Process SSP, SMP, SPP, holiday pay, expenses, pensions, deductions and P45s.
Set up new starters on payroll systems.
Maintain accurate payroll and employee records.
Upload and process employee expenses.
Liaise with employees and resolve payroll-related queries.
Support onboarding activities, including staff inductions and employment contracts.
Assist with visa applications where required.
Maintain and update company spreadsheets and databases.
Provide wider HR administrative support.
Ensure confidentiality is maintained when handling employee information.
Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 6 months' payroll processing experience.
Previous experience supporting weekly payroll processes would be advantageous.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Proficient IT skills, including spreadsheet usage.
Experience with Sage payroll systems would be advantageous.
Previous HR administration experience is desirable.
Multilingual skills would be beneficial.
Positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.
