Payroll Specialist

We are recruiting a number of payroll positions at varying levels for a well known company in the Peterborough area. These roles vary in level, from payroll administrator up to payroll technician.

About the Role:
As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the payroll function. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or grow their career in payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll for employees
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data
• Respond to payroll-related queries from staff
• Support the team with administrative tasks and reporting

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good numeracy, administration and IT skills
• Previous experience in an administrative role (payroll experience desirable but not essential)

About the Role:
As a Payroll Technician, you will be responsible for managing complex payroll processes and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process end-to-end payroll for multiple departments or entities
• Ensure compliance with tax and employment laws
• Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
• Provide expert advice on payroll matters to internal stakeholders
• Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a payroll role, ideally in a complex or high-volume environment
• In-depth knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with ResourceLink would be a major bonus
• Relevant payroll qualifications (e.g., CIPP) are a bonus
