Our Electronics Manufacturing Client based in Fareham are recruiting a new Quality Inspector on a permanent basis reporting to the Quality Controller. To be suitable for this role you must come from an electronics / PCB / subcontract manufacturing background.
ROLE OVERVIEW

Goods in, stage and final inspection of electrical & electronic assemblies. To work with the quality team to aid development of Quality Assurance documents, plans, procedures and process flows. To identify quality problems and where appropriate provide the quality controller recommended corrective and preventive actions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

oGoods in, stage & Final Inspection of PCBs, Electrical & Electronic Assemblies.

oAssist with First Article Inspection IAW AS EN ISO 9100.

oAssist in the resolution of quality related problems.

oProactively advise management of any issues that may affect delivery & or quality.

oEnsure that all Health and Safety, housekeeping, quality and environmental polices and procedures are adhered to.

oProvide QA support as necessary.

oTo assist the Quality Controller in diagnosis of quality problems.
The Inspector will be responsible for the inspection and control of diverse products ranging from Aerospace to Commercial applications. There will be direct responsibility and accountability for quality of delivered & received product.
The Inspector is a key part of the operations structure, acting as key support for the Quality Controller & is expected to operate within the framework of objectives and targets determined by the Management but with the latitude to pursue initiatives that will enable the department targets to be achieved.
The Inspector will as part of the Quality team work closely with all other members of the team. Internally will liaise with Team Leaders & Quality Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS and PERSONAL PROFILE

Must have Industry Standard Inspection Qualifications (IPC).

Awareness & understanding of QMS Disciplines IAW BS EN ISO 9001:2008 & AS EN 9100.

Awareness & understanding of ESD Controls.

Reading & understanding Complex Engineering Drawings & Instructions.

Key personal skills:-

Excellent communicator, written and verbal.

Must be able to work under own initiative to solve problems.

Good time management skills.

Calm and collected with ability to work under pressure.

Structured and logical approach to problem solving.
