· Based at our Kettering Depot – Part of Stagecoach Midlands

· Annual salary - £49,334 Basic

· Shift pattern of Early and Late and 2 x Saturdays out of 4 (5 days out of 7)

We’re looking for a skilled Master Technician to join our engineering team in Kettering. You’ll bring expert technical knowledge while supporting the development of others as our fleet and depot environments continue to evolve.

Whether you're working in the depot or out on the road, this is a hands-on role where your technical knowledge keeps our community moving.

What you’ll be doing:

· Carrying out complex diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to PCV vehicles

· Using diagnostic equipment to identify and fix mechanical and electrical faults

· All levels of repair up to and including engine overhauls

· Supporting and mentoring engineering apprentices

· Assisting with vehicle issues both in the depot and out on the road

· Maintaining high safety, quality, and compliance standards across the fleet

What we’re looking for:

· Minimum Level 3 BTEC/NVQ (or equivalent) in HGV/PCV maintenance

· Dual skilled Mechanical/Electrical with proven experience and specialist training, in particular in advanced diagnostics & repairs

· Demonstrable previous Engineering experience, with a vehicular focus i.e. bus, HGV / LGV, truck, haulage, automotive, plant, rail, farm etc

· Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults

· A proactive, safety-first mindset with attention to detail and pride in doing a job well
