We are recruiting on behalf of a Good Ofsted-rated secondary school in Perry Barr, Birmingham, seeking a dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join their vibrant and successful team from September 2026.

The Role

As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive Physical Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to develop a lifelong appreciation for sport, fitness and healthy living.

Responsibilities will include:

* Planning and delivering high-quality PE lessons

* Teaching a broad and balanced Physical Education curriculum

* Assessing, monitoring and tracking student progress

* Creating a positive and motivating learning environment

* Encouraging participation, teamwork and personal development

* Promoting high standards of behaviour and achievement

* Supporting extracurricular sports activities and school competitions where appropriate

* Working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance outcomes for students

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

* Have experience teaching PE within a secondary school setting

* Possess strong subject knowledge and a passion for Physical Education

* Be capable of inspiring and motivating students of all abilities

* Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

* Have a commitment to raising standards and student achievement

* Be an enthusiastic and positive team player

Ideally, the school is looking for an experienced Teacher; however, applications from ECTs are warmly welcomed and fully encouraged.
