Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Guide students through GCSE PE coursework and exam preparation.
- Incorporate various sports, fitness activities, and health education into lessons.
- Work alongside the department to enhance the PE curriculum with contemporary insights.
- Support extracurricular activities such as sports teams, clubs, and competitions.
- Develop and manage school sports teams.
- Organize and lead school sports events.
- Maintain and manage PE department resources and equipment.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of PE department policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Physical Education or a related field.
- PGCE or QTS.
- Experience teaching PE up to KS4.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues to enhance the department's effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest sports science and coaching methodologies.
