Job Description - People Advisor

HR Advisor

Salary - £32,000 - £35,000

Location - Burton

Working Model - Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite

We're excited to partner with a forward-thinking client in the leisure industry, who's looking for an ambitious and motivated HR Advisor to join their growing team! This is your chance to play a key role in an expanding HR function, develop your advisory skills, and take on more responsibility in a company that truly invests in its people. This is a new role to the team and offers huge potential for the right candidate.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead the way in HR delivery for a team of 500 employees, collaborating with the HR Admin team to manage everything from recruitment to employee lifecycle activities.
  • Take ownership of employee relations casework including absence management, performance issues, disciplinaries, and grievances, ensuring the highest level of support.
  • Partner with managers across the business, providing expert advice on HR policies and best practices that drive a positive workplace culture.
  • Get involved in shaping the People Strategy, reporting on key HR metrics and working alongside the Business Partner to push the organisation forward.
  • Work closely with managers to support performance evaluations, ensuring employees have the tools and training to succeed.
  • Support engagement and onboarding initiatives, including delivering surveys that help improve HR processes and boost employee satisfaction.

What We're Looking For:

  • You've got a CIPD Level 3 or higher qualification.
  • You bring relevant HR experience - ideally within an advisory capacity.
  • You're familiar with the recruitment lifecycle, from posting job adverts to managing offers and coordinating interviews.
  • You have a solid understanding of HR policies and procedures and are ready to advise managers and employees on best practices.
  • You're highly organised and able to manage your time effectively, juggling multiple priorities.
  • You're proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience using HRIS systems to track and manage data.
