AVK is growing fast, and we’re looking for a People Advisor to join our evolving People Team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be a trusted first point of contact for employees and managers, offering practical HR guidance, supporting employee relations, and helping us strengthen our people processes as we scale.
With a new Chief People Officer joining, our structure is evolving, making this a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment and is excited by the possibility of a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations (approx. 35%)
Act as the first point of contact for ER queries, triaging and escalating to People Partnerswhen needed.
Provide clear, consistent HR advice to managers on employee relations and people-related matters.
Support with front-line ER casework, including investigations, sickness absence, OHreferrals, probation support, and documentation (minutes, witness statements, records).
Hold well-being and mental health check-ins with employees when appropriate.
Employee Lifecycle (approx. 25%)
Work closely with People Operations on processes and compliance (e.g. audits, policyupdates, HRIS efficiencies).
Collaborate with the People Partnering team to review and improve policies, toolkits, andemployee experience initiatives.
Managing contract changes, probation and exits in partnership with People OperationsCoordinator.
Performance & Manager Support (approx. 25%)
Support managers by providing guidance on feedback, performance conversations, andprobation reviews.
Escalate broader capability and leadership cases to L&D Manager and People Partners.
HR Data, Reporting & Insights (approx. 10%)
Maintain and improve how we use Bob for lifecycle management, spotting opportunities for efficiency and better user experience.
Deliver accurate and timely people data reporting for managers and the team.
Track and trend in absences and turnover, highlighting key areas of concern with People Operations Coordinator to relevant stakeholders.
Culture & Engagement, & Well-being Support (approx. 5%)
Act as a local voice for engagement, wellbeing, and culture initiatives.
Help implement engagement activities at team level.
Solid HR/People experience, with confidence handling a range of ER issues
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and experience with HRIS (Bob is a bonus).
A friendly, approachable communication style with integrity and discretion.
Adaptability in ambiguous, fast-changing environments—a self-starter with resilience and pragmatism.
Collaborative mindset, comfortable supporting multiple sites and diverse teams.
A growth mindset—keen to broaden your experience in areas such as global mobility and EU operations.
