Tennial Personnel are currently recruiting for a highly organised and proactive People & Operations Coordinator to join our client’s team based in Risby, Bury St Edmunds on a permanent basis.
This varied role combines business administration, HR support, payroll coordination, executive assistance and operational improvement within a growing manufacturing environment. Working closely with senior management, the successful candidate will help improve systems, streamline processes and support the day-to-day running of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
Providing administrative and organisational support to the Managing Director and Leadership Team.
Coordinating meetings, managing diaries, preparing reports and presentations, and tracking outstanding actions.
Supporting internal communications, company meetings and employee engagement activities.
Preparing employment contracts, offer letters and employee correspondence.
Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems, including onboarding, inductions, probation reviews and training records.
Supporting managers with absence management, return-to-work processes and general HR administration.
Assisting with recruitment coordination, interview arrangements and candidate administration.
Preparing and validating payroll information for the external payroll provider, including starters, leavers and employee changes.
Supporting payroll queries, employee expenses and pension administration.
Producing reports, spreadsheets and trackers to support business operations and decision-making.
Maintaining accurate business data and identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and efficiency through technology and automation.
Coordinating office facilities, maintenance, contractors, supplies and health and safety administration.
Supporting employee wellbeing initiatives, social events and internal activities.
Building effective working relationships across office and shop-floor teams to support communication and operational efficiency.
Skills Required
Previous experience in business administration, operations support, HR administration, office coordination or an executive assistant role.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Outlook, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint.
Confident using digital systems, maintaining accurate records and identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
A proactive, reliable and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to take ownership of tasks.
Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
Flexible and adaptable, with an interest in supporting a growing business across a variety of functions.
Experience using Breathe HR or similar HR software would be advantageous.
Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment would be desirable.
Qualifications Required No specific formal qualifications are required, although qualifications in business administration, HR or management would be advantageous.
Previous experience in a business support, administration, coordination or operations-related role is essential.
Strong IT skills and confidence working across multiple digital systems are essential.
