Job Description - Permanent Site Manager (Construction and Regeneration)
Fawkes and Reece have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Construction Site Manager to join a well-established main contractor based in Swansea, delivering high-quality new build, regeneration and refurbishment projects across South Wales.
Our client has an excellent reputation for delivering projects across the commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, leisure and public sectors, working with a number of Tier 1 clients and prestigious end users. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Construction Site Manager to oversee projects from pre-construction through to successful completion.
The Role
As Construction Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of construction projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
You will work closely with Project Managers, clients, consultants and subcontractors to successfully deliver a range of new build and regeneration schemes across South Wales.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of construction sites from start to completion. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, site operatives and suppliers. Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget. Maintain high standards of quality throughout all phases of construction. Liaise with clients, consultants and the wider project team. Monitor project progress and proactively resolve site issues. Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures. Carry out site inspections, quality checks and snagging. Chair and attend site progress meetings. Produce site reports and maintain accurate project records. Manage project handovers and final completion. Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and supply chain partners.Experience Required
Proven experience as a Construction Site Manager or Senior Site Manager within the construction industry. Experience delivering new build, regeneration and refurbishment projects across commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, leisure or public sector developments. Previous experience working for a main contractor. Demonstrable experience managing projects from groundworks through to completion. Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and site management. Experience managing multiple subcontractors and coordinating complex construction programmes. Excellent communication and client-facing skills. Strong leadership and organisational abilities. A stable employment history with a proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects.Essential Skills

High attention to detail. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Thorough knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation. SMSTS (Essential) CSCS Black or Gold Card (Essential) First Aid at Work Certificate Full UK Driving Licence NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management (preferred) IOSH or NEBOSH qualification (desirable)What's on Offer
