Permit Officer

Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Permit Officer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.

We are looking for a Permit Officer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

The Permit Officer, will be responsible for:

* Guide and support contractors and team members in the induction process and permit issuance as part of a close-knit team.

* Assess Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure works are carried out safely and in compliance with standards.

* Ensure the correct Permit to Work is implemented and maintained for all activities.

* Record and track Electrical and Mechanical Isolations, ensuring proper documentation is completed and maintained.

* Ensure compliance documentation is accurate, properly filed, and audit-ready for internal and external reviews.

* Lead and participate in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify and mitigate potential risks.

To be successful for this Permit Officer role you must have:

* Previous experience working in a permit or compliance team with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.

* A solid understanding of Permit to Work systems and isolation procedures.

* Ability to build effective relationships with contractors and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
