Job Description - Personal Care Europe HR Business Partner

Job Title: Personal Care Europe HR Business Partner

Location: Kingston (UK Flexible)

Work-Level: WL2C

This role is a strategic HR Business Partner, supporting two Personal Care Go-To-Market organisations, as well as playing a broader role in shaping the personal care Europe people agenda.
The role exists to shape and deliver the people and organisation agenda required to drive growth, competitiveness and transformation. The HRBP will partner closely with the leadership teams to build strong capability, maintain cost discipline, and enable organisational readiness for key strategic priorities.
A core focus of the role is to balance commercial delivery with long-term capability and organisational health, ensuring the markets are equipped to win in an evolving external environment.


Key Responsibilities / Focus Areas
1. Strategic HR Business Partnering to General Managers
• UKI Personal Care Go-To-Market organisation and Benelux Personal Care Go-To-Market organisation
• Partner the GMs and their leadership teams as a trusted advisor on all people-related matters
• Translate business strategy into clear, actionable people and organisation plans
• Lead workforce planning and organisation design to support growth and productivity
• Provide insight and challenge using people data to improve business performance

2. Overheads & Financial Discipline
• Own delivery of overheads targets and associated savings programmes across both markets
• Drive rigorous headcount and cost management through planning, tracking, and intervention
• Partner Finance to deliver productivity and efficiency outcomes
• Embed strong organisational discipline and cost accountability across leadership teams

3. Talent & Capability Agenda
• Own and drive the end-to-end talent strategy for UKI and Benelux PC and partner with the team on broader talent agenda
• Lead succession planning and talent pipeline development for critical roles
• Drive performance and talent outcomes through robust calibration and differentiation
• Build priority capabilities required for future growth (e.g. digital, demand generation, commercial excellence)
• Coach and develop senior leaders to build high-performing and inclusive teams

4. Organisation & Strategic Transformation
• Lead organisational responses to key strategic initiatives (e.g. Social-First Demand Generation)
• Translate strategy into organisation design, ways of working, and capability requirements
• Lead change management and ensure effective adoption of new models
• Ensure organisation agility and readiness for evolving category and market demands

5. Culture, Engagement & Organisation Health
• Drive a high-performance culture aligned to Unilever standards of leadership
• Lead engagement and organisational health agenda (e.g. UniVoice / Culture Index)
• Champion Diversity, Equity & Inclusion across both markets
• Foster a culture of simplification, accountability, and external focus

Recruitment Fraud 

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money.In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate. 

 

How is Unilever tackling this? 

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down. 

 

What can I do?
