MERJE is seeking a highly skilled Personal Injury Handler for a leading insurance company in Manchester or in West Sussex. This role requires expertise in managing third-party injury claims, negotiating settlements, and navigating complex legal protocols. The Role

As a Personal Injury Handler, you'll manage a portfolio of claims, assess liability, negotiate settlements, and ensure compliance with legal protocols. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in a fast-paced insurance environment with flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage personal injury claims from receipt of medical evidence through to conclusion
• Negotiate with customers, suppliers, and third-party representatives
• Assess liability and set accurate reserves
• Identify potential fraud indicators and large loss cases
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Required knowledge and experience:

• Proven experience in motor claims within a bodily injury claims environment
• Knowledge of the Official Injury Claims (OIC) Portal or similar systems
• Understanding of FCA requirements and principles of English Law
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure
