Personal Tax Assistant

Fantastic opportunity for a Personal Tax Assistant to join a large, multi-site, top 25 firm of Chartered Accountants, in their office in Leeds City Centre.

Working with a wide range of businesses, you will have the opportunity to gain a breadth of experience throughout your career, supporting your own progression but also the growth of the firm.

As a Personal Tax Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of personal tax returns for a range of client’s
• Preparation of sole trader and partnership tax computations
• Preparing forms P11D & P11D(b)
• Liaising directly with HMRC
• Checking client records to ensure all information has been received
• Ensuring tax efficient use of allowances and reliefs
• Preparation of capital gains tax computations for inclusion within self-assessment returns, together with completion of 60-Day CGT Declarations to HMRC

To qualify for this Personal Tax Assistant role, ideally you should meet the following:

• ATT qualified or qualified by experience
• At least 2 years’ experience working as a Personal Tax Assistant in Practice.
• Experience with CCH tax software would be advantageous
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organisation skills with a problem-solving attitude
