This is a commercially focused role where sector knowledge and relationships are more important than a traditional sales background. The successful candidate will understand how PFI contracts are structured, where lifecycle responsibility and budgets sit, and have the credibility and network to open the right doors.

Working closely with the technical leadership team, you will help create opportunities, develop relationships and build a sustainable national pipeline of PFI related work.

Identify PFI projects approaching lifecycle investment, expiry and handback.
Understand where lifecycle responsibility, budget and contractual liability sit within individual PFI projects.
Identify the relevant decision-makers responsible for lifecycle, handback and asset condition expenditure.
Introduce the business directly to key stakeholders and create early-stage commercial opportunities.
Position the business within lifecycle and handback planning before projects reach formal procurement or tender stage.
Develop long term portfolio relationships and repeat opportunities.
Work closely with the technical team to convert introductions into project revenue.
Maintain visibility of upcoming PFI expiry, handback and lifecycle programmes.
Provide market intelligence and help shape the company's wider PFI and infrastructure growth strategy.
Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have strong experience within the PFI / PPP or social infrastructure market, potentially from an SPV, asset management, lifecycle, commercial, FM or consultancy background.

They will be commercially minded, well connected and confident engaging with senior stakeholders across the market.

Essential Experience

Strong understanding of the UK PFI / PPP market.
Experience working with or alongside SPVs, Project Companies, FM providers or PFI asset management organisations.
Good knowledge of lifecycle obligations and PFI handback.
Understanding of how contractual responsibilities and lifecycle budgets differ across individual PFI projects.
Strong existing relationships within the PFI market.
Ability to engage credibly with senior decision makers.
Commercial awareness and the ability to identify and develop opportunities.
Strong communication and relationship management skills.
Ability to operate independently across a national remit.
Desirable Experience

Previous business development or work-winning experience.
Experience of PFI expiry or handback programmes.
Experience of lifecycle planning or asset-condition projects.
Knowledge of hard FM, roofing, building fabric or capital works.
Experience working with building surveyors or technical consultants.

The successful individual will be:

Self motivated and entrepreneurial
Confident and credible
Relationship driven
Comfortable working autonomously
Proactive in identifying opportunities
Comfortable operating within a small, fast growing business
Focused on outcomes and commercial delivery
Package

Basic Salary: £65,000-£80,000, dependent on experience and network, with flexibility for the right person.

Car / Car Allowance:

Incentive: 2% of revenue generated from opportunities introduced by the successful individual, with uncapped earning potential.

Profit Share: Participation in the company's wider profit share scheme.

Equity: Longer term potential to participate in the ownership of the business, subject to performance and future company structure.

Further company benefits, including pension, holiday entitlement and healthcare, are to be confirmed.

Location

The role will be predominantly home based and national in remit.
