Job Description - PHP/Wordpress Developer

Are you a talented PHP/WordPress Web Developer looking to join a dynamic and growing team?

This leading and highly respected business services group based near Colchester, are seeking a skilled PHP/WordPress Web Developer to contribute to their ongoing success. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on exciting projects within a forward-thinking organisation.

The Role:
As a PHP/WordPress Web Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a variety of web applications and websites. You will work closely with the existing development team and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing and customising WordPress themes and plugins.
Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP code.
Building and maintaining responsive and user-friendly websites.
Integrating with third-party APIs and services.
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Collaborating with designers and project managers to deliver projects on time and to specification.
Keeping up-to-date with the latest web development trends and technologies.

About You:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

Strong commercial experience in PHP development.
Extensive experience with WordPress, including theme and plugin development.
A solid understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Experience with React would be a significant advantage.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Important Requirements:

You must live within a commutable distance of Colchester.
You must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK. Please note that they are unable to offer work permit sponsorship for this position.
