Perfect Household Staff are pleased to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced part-time housekeeper to support a welcoming family in the charming and highly sought-after village of Abbots Leigh, just outside Bristol. The property is a beautiful four-bedroom residence arranged across three living areas and three bathrooms. Finished with natural wooden floors and a modern kitchen, the home requires a professional with a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain it to the highest standard.

The household comprises two adults and their eleven-year-old son, together with two affectionate Ragdoll cats. A cleaner will also attend the property for four hours per week, providing additional support with general housekeeping duties. The family seek a housekeeper who is proactive, flexible, and confident in managing the smooth running of the home. Responsibilities will include daily washing, laundry, hanging clothes, organising wardrobes, tidying the living areas, and general kitchen cleanup, including loading the dishwasher. Cooking will occasionally be required, for which the family will provide guidance and details.

This is a part-time position requiring up to 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with working hours to be scheduled flexibly between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., preferably during the first half of the day. The family are offering a competitive hourly rate of £20 to £25 gross, dependent on experience. Candidates must be comfortable around pets and confident in working in a household with children. A driving licence is required for commuting purposes only.
 

The ideal applicant will have proven housekeeping experience within private households, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to take initiative in maintaining an orderly and well-presented environment. Strong English is essential for clear communication with the family.

Main duties of the Part Time Housekeeper:

• Carrying out daily washing and laundry
  


• Hanging clothes and organising wardrobes
  


• Tidying and maintaining three living areas and four bedrooms
  


• Performing general kitchen cleanup, including loading the dishwasher
  


• Caring for natural wooden floors and ensuring surfaces remain clean and presentable
  


• Assisting with occasional cooking as directed by the client
  


• Supporting overall household organisation and maintaining order throughout the home
  


• Being attentive to and considerate of two Ragdoll cats while working
  


• Taking initiative and demonstrating flexibility in day-to-day tasks
  

 Requirements for The Part-Time Housekeeper job:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in private cooking roles
