A warm and professional family residing in Burghfield, Reading is seeking an experienced and discreet Housekeeper / Nanny to assist in the upkeep and organisation of their beautiful family home. The household is relaxed with two delightful children and a friendly Border Terrier. The position is primarily housekeeping-focused, with additional childcare support during school holidays. The family require a self-employed professional who can maintain the home to a high standard, manage laundry, and assist with tidying and household organisation.
During term time, the role will be focused on housekeeping; during half terms and school holidays, additional hours may be offered to support light childcare. The ideal candidate will be soft-spoken, kind, and self-motivated – someone who can read the room and work independently without instruction.

Working Days: Two days per week (Monday & Thursday or Tuesday & Friday)
Working Hours: 10:00 to 15:00 (10 hours per week); with a potential increase in the hours

Duties Include:
- General and deep cleaning of all household areas
- Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe organisation
- Tidying and household organisation
- Occasional grocery shopping and errands
- Occasional pet care, such as short dog walks
- Light childcare support during school holidays (ages 2 and 6)
- Assisting during school holidays or occasional evenings when needed
Minimal Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of private household experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Fluent conversational English
- Valid UK working permit
- DBS check
- Pet-friendly and comfortable around children
