Perfect Household Staff is pleased to present a fantastic opportunity for a professional Permanent Part-Time Live-In Housekeeper/Cook to join a warm, well-established private household based in Brentwood, Essex. This is a long-term position suited to a dedicated, organised, and proactive candidate seeking stability within a respectful and friendly family environment.

The household currently consists of five family members; however, over the coming months, the household will transition to a quieter setting, with the parents remaining as the primary residents. The family is seeking a committed individual who is looking for a long-term role and can become an integral part of the household.

The property is a spacious six-bedroom home set across three floors. The successful candidate will be provided with excellent live-in accommodation within a private annex, including a separate kitchen, living area, en-suite bathroom, and a large balcony. The family is happy to offer a high degree of privacy and comfort, including the possibility of occasional guests. All the household bills are also included as well as food. Candidates with a small, well-trained dog will also be considered.

This role involves general housekeeping duties, along with family cooking and light household management. The household is supported by additional part-time cleaners to ensure a balanced workload. The family has two very friendly Labradoodles, and basic pet care will be required. A driver is essential for this role, and an automatic vehicle will be provided for work-related duties.

Main duties of the Housekeeper/Cook:

• Full housekeeping duties including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and maintaining high household standards
  


• Laundry and ironing, including care of delicate garments
  


• Preparation and cooking of family dinners
  


• Liaising with external contractors (e.g. groomers, maintenance professionals, pool services)
  


• Assisting with household organisation and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  


• Basic care of two family dogs, including feeding and general supervision
  


• Occasional pet care and house supervision when the family is away
  


• Working collaboratively with additional cleaning staff
  

Requirements for this Housekeeper/Cook job:

• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant private experience
  


• Two excellent checkable references
  


• Fluent English
  


• Valid UK work permit
  


• Driving license
