Physics Lecturer

• Annual Salary: £32,455 to £45,260 including London Weighting
• Location: Harrow Campus
• Job Type: Full-time (36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)

We are seeking a dedicated Physics Lecturer to join our team at the North WestCampus. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality teaching in Physics. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring student retention and achievement through exemplary teaching practices. Teacher training will be provided to support your professional development.

• Teach Physics across various programmes including BTEC Science, GCSE, Access to HE, A Level, and T Levels.
• Prepare comprehensive schemes of work, lesson plans, and resource materials for teaching programmes.
• Utilise IT and e-learning technologies to enhance curriculum delivery.
• Conduct student inductions, design induction programmes, and produce course handbooks.
• Perform academic progress reviews and act as a named tutor where appropriate.
• Engage in recruitment activities, open evenings, and contribute to the team’s marketing and recruitment strategies.
• Assess student progress regularly, provide timely feedback, and conduct both formative and summative assessments.
• Lead specific courses, monitor student attendance, progress, and achievement, and use tracking software for ILPs and assessments.
• Contribute to curriculum development and take a leadership role in specific courses.

• Considerable subject-based and pedagogic knowledge in Physics.
• Motivation to stay updated with developments in the professional area and in teaching and learning practices.
• Experience in designing and delivering educational programmes.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexibly and constructively participate in college activities.
• Proficiency in IT and e-learning technologies.
