Pay: £12.71 per hour
Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

About the Company

My client is a busy and growing Marketing Communications company based in Hertford, working across print, digital and display campaigns for well-known brands.

They are looking for a Picking and Packing Operative to join their warehouse and production team. This is a varied, hands-on role involving order picking, packing, mailing, stock handling and basic production work.

About the Role

As a Picking and Packing Operative, you will play an important part in making sure customer orders and promotional materials are accurately prepared, packed and ready for dispatch.

This would suit someone with previous experience as a Picker Packer, Warehouse Operative, Order Picker, Packer, Fulfilment Operative, Dispatch Operative or Production Operative. Experience within print, marketing, distribution, logistics or e-commerce would also be useful.

What You'll Do

• Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently


• Pack orders ready for dispatch and delivery


• Prepare mailing and distribution materials


• Handle and organise stock within the warehouse


• Check orders to ensure items are accurate and correctly packed


• Carry out basic finishing tasks including book binding and packing promotional materials


• Prepare printed and promotional products for customers


• Keep the warehouse and working areas clean and organised


• Follow health and safety procedures and company standards


• Work closely with the wider warehouse and production team to meet daily requirements

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in picking, packing, warehousing, fulfilment, dispatch or production is preferred


• Good attention to detail and accuracy


• Comfortable carrying out manual handling and practical warehouse duties


• Able to work at pace while maintaining quality


• Good communication skills and a positive approach to teamwork


• Able to follow processes and instructions

Nice to Have

• Experience within print, mailing, marketing communications or promotional products


• Previous order fulfilment or stock control experience


• Production, finishing or packing experience


• Experience working within a warehouse, distribution centre or e-commerce environment
