Role Summary Maintain, support and assist the project with Pims System in the following tasks: • Monitor Pims performance and report issues. • Adjust/expand functionality according to Project needs. • Establish and adjust reports and views according to project needs such as Weekly Completion status report, MC Status, ATEX register, Instrument index, minimize Excel engineering • Proactive propose and implement functionality which makes the project work smarter and more efficient. • Attend regular update of Pims core functionality (every 3 months) • Assist the project with mass updating of data. • Generate/Modify Pims User guides according to Project specific Work Processes and Routines
Accountabilities • Database administration, architecture and maintenance • Identify project needs, propose and implement solutions accordingly. • Developing and maintaining data interfaces. • Internal and external data Interfaces • User admin • End user training and support • Be the daily single point of contact against Omega Pims PES base organization related to bug fixing, project wishes for new or modified functionality. • Project contact against Omega Pims CMS base organization related to bug fixing, project wishes for new or modified functionality. • Keep Pims PES updated with latest core functionality.
Qualifications and Experience • English – fluent written and verbal skills • Recent relevant experience in shipyards is an advantage • Recent relevant experience of UK project execution is an advantage • Omega employed Certified Pims developer with good understanding of Pims PES functionality. • Database Architecture. • Database management and administration. • Programming, implementation and de-bugging (SQL, JavaScript, CSS / HTML, C# etc.). • Good knowledge of Omega Appframe and Workflow Engine. • Planning and executing software development projects. • User training and support. • Shall be familiar with Authority regulations, Corporate Governance and Project management system applicable for this position. • Fluent in oral and written English language. • Have demonstrated well: o Interpersonal and communication skills. o General good computer skills
