Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced Pipefitter for an industrial project based in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. This is a minimum three-month contract offering an opportunity to work on an industrial installation project.

We are particularly interested in pipefitters with a strong industrial background who are willing to travel and work away from home for the duration of the contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Installing and fitting industrial pipework and associated components.


• Measuring, cutting, preparing and assembling pipework to project specifications.


• Working from engineering drawings, isometric drawings and technical specifications.


• Aligning and installing pipework accurately and safely.


• Supporting installation, testing and inspection activities as required.


• Ensuring all work meets site quality standards and health and safety requirements.


• Working effectively with other trades to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Relevant pipefitting qualification, ideally Level 3 or equivalent.


• Previous experience working on industrial pipefitting projects.


• Ability to read and interpret engineering and isometric drawings.


• Experience installing and assembling industrial pipework.


• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Willingness to travel to Barrow-in-Furness and work away from home for at least three months.

Previous experience in heavy industrial, manufacturing, marine or similar environments would be advantageous.
