Pipelayer

Orbital are recruiting an experienced 3-man pipelaying gang for a long-term deep drainage project in Swadlincote. The gang will consist of an experienced Pipelayer, Pipelayer’s Mate and Skilled Labourer. Candidates must have previous experience working on deep drainage and underground pipework projects.

Pipelayer – Main Duties

* Lay drainage and pipework accurately to line, level and required falls.

* Install pipes, fittings, chambers and associated drainage systems.

* Work safely within deep excavations alongside plant and lifting operations.

* Coordinate with the gang to maintain safe, efficient progress.

Essential Experience

* Proven experience in deep drainage and underground pipework.

* Confident working in and around deep excavations.

* Good understanding of levels, falls, pipe jointing and trench safety.

* Previous civils/groundworks experience within a pipelaying gang.

* Relevant Blue CSCS card

* Safety Critical Medical Certificate
