Placement Broker

We’re delighted to be supporting a well-established, independent commercial insurance broker who are looking for an experienced Placement Broker to join its expanding team. In this key role, you’ll be the link between internal colleagues and the insurance market - negotiating competitive terms and securing high-quality cover for clients across a broad range of sectors.

The Placement Broker responsibilities:

• Negotiating with insurers in the UK and internationally to secure optimal policy terms and pricing.
• Placing a wide range of risks, including complex programmes, ensuring cover is accurate and effective.
• Collaborating closely with internal teams - from Account Handlers and Account Executives - to understand client needs and deliver a seamless service.
• Building strong relationships with underwriters to support effective placement and competitive access.
• Reviewing insurance contracts and documents to ensure they align with client requirements and regulatory standards.
• Staying ahead of market trends and regulatory changes to inform broking strategy and advice.

What we are looking for:

• A strong track record in insurance, including significant experience in a placement broking role.
• A solid track record in placing complex UK insurance programmes - international placement exposure is a plus.
• Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
• A detail-oriented, lateral thinker with a client-focused mindset.
