Job Description - Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) – South East
We are seeking a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) – South East for a permanent position based in Guildford, South East, working within a leading Intralogistics company. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM), breakdown repairs, and servicing on a variety of warehouse machinery such as conveyors, auto loaders, and automated material handling equipment. The successful candidate will visit customer sites across the UK, delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical repairs, diagnostics, and inspections. The role demands a proactive approach to maintenance, strong customer communication skills, and a commitment to health and safety standards. You will be supplied with a company vehicle and state-of-the-art tools, working closely with the support team to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
* HND/HNC or Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
* Electrical qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395, or EAL Inspection and Testing
* Minimum Level 2 Electrotechnical or Mechanical qualifications, or relevant building services experience
* Experience in maintenance, breakdown support, and servicing of heavy machinery, conveyors, or logistics equipment
* Full UK driving licence
* Excellent communication skills; customer-focused attitude
* Proven understanding of health and safety protocols, risk assessments, and method statements
