Planner / Senior Town Planner

FutureGen Recruitment is partnering with a well -regarded independent planning consultancy in central Birmingham to appoint a Chartered Planner or Senior Planner to join their close -knit team.

The Role

You will be involved in all aspects of planning consultancy, providing expert planning support to clients and taking responsibility for project delivery. This is a varied role where you will be empowered to make an impact within a strong team culture.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage planning applications and related submissions
  

• Provide strategic planning advice across a range of development types
  

• Prepare planning statements and supporting documentation
  

• Engage with local planning authorities, consultees, and clients
  

• Support and mentor less -experienced staff as required
  

• Play a key role in developing strong client relationships
  

Who We’re Looking For

• MRTPI Chartered Planner
  

• 3+ years’ relevant experience in either private consultancy or local authority planning
  

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  

• Strong technical planning knowledge and project delivery capability
  

• A team player with a proactive, commercially aware attitude
  

• Comfortable working from the Birmingham office as part of a collaborative team
