An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planner or Senior Planner to join a well -established and growing planning consultancy in Birmingham. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse and high -quality portfolio of projects while progressing your career within a supportive and commercially focused environment.

This position would suit an ambitious planner looking to take the next step, gain greater responsibility, and work closely with senior leadership on a range of development projects across the UK.

The Role

You will be involved in delivering planning advice across a broad range of sectors, including:

• Residential and mixed -use developments
  

• Commercial and employment schemes
  

• Strategic land promotion
  

• Urban regeneration projects
  

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing planning applications from inception through to determination
  

• Preparing planning statements, reports and supporting documentation
  

• Providing strategic planning advice to clients
  

• Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders and consultants
  

• Supporting business development and maintaining client relationships
  

• Contributing to project strategy and problem solving
  

At Senior level, you will also be expected to take on greater responsibility for project delivery, client management, and mentoring junior team members.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience within a planning consultancy or local authority
  

• A strong understanding of the UK planning system
  

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  

• The ability to manage projects independently
  

• A proactive and commercially aware approach
  

For Senior Planner level:

• MRTPI Chartered status (or working towards Chartership)
  

• Experience managing complex planning applications and client relationships
  

• Ability to mentor and support junior team members
