The Planning Engineer/Applications Engineer role itself is dynamic and integral to the company's success. Here, you'll be translating customer orders into seamless manufacturing routes, ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining high standards. Your responsibilities will include defining manufacturing processes, liaising with sales and production teams, and creating instructions for machinists. To succeed as a Planning Engineer/Applications Engineer, you'll need a background in applications, process, planning, or technical sales engineering within a manufacturing environment. Strong capability in reading engineering drawings and CAD data is essential, alongside knowledge of international standards like ASTM, ISO, BS, or DIN. Experience with processes such as CNC machining, forging, heat treatment, and coatings will set you apart. You should also possess strong numeracy skills, excellent attention to detail, and be proficient in MS Office. Qualifications relevant to engineering or planning roles are highly desirable.

As a Planning Engineer, you will enjoy a competitive salary in the range of £40,000 to £50,000, depending on experience.

The role offers a Monday to Friday, 40-hour week with a typical early finish on Fridays—meaning a good work-life balance.
