Planning Infrastructure Monitoring Assistant

Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate £ which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Planning Infrastructure Monitoring Assistant this role will be based at: RG21 4AH, 3 days office based, 2 days remote working.

The right candidate will:

* To manage the Section 106 scoping process seeking the views of stakeholders as to the need for contributions, recording responses and working with planning officers and legal officers to secure timely agreements.

* To assist in managing the Community Infrastructure Levy scoping process in cooperation with the Planning Infrastructure Monitoring Officer.

* To assess the CIL requirements on Planning Applications and determine whether development triggers liabilities for CIL.

* To be the Councils collection officer in relation to the issuing of all CIL Notices.

* Issue decisions on the application of the CIL exemptions in line with Council adopted policy, and the application of surcharges and late payment interest on liable development.

* To provide data reports for the Annual Infrastructure Funding Statement.

* Respond to enquiries in relation to the discharge of planning conditions and obligations raised by external stakeholders, including applicants, developers and solicitors.

* Maintain personal knowledge of current legislation with regard to developer contributions (Section 106) and the Community Infrastructure Levy.
