Planning Manager

The Company:
Nigel Wright are pleased to be supporting a global manufacturing company in their search for a Planning Manager

The company have some very well known customers and are growing rapidly over the next few years. They pride themselves on quality produce and are looking for the right character with enthusiasm and passion to join their team.

The Role:
The purpose of this newly created role is to lead and manage the planning function, overseeing both strategic and operational planning activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating production forecasts, capacity planning, demand alignment, and finished goods optimisation. Leadership is an important part of the role, the successful candidate will motivate and develop the Planning Team to ensure effective delivery of plans that meet customer demand and production capabilities
The Person:
We are keen to speak to candidates with proven experience in production planning or supply chain management within manufacturing or FMCG sectors.

You will also display the following skills and attributes:

• Strong organisation, leadership and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, proficient in Excel and data analysis tools.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Understanding of procurement, inventory management, and capacity planning principles.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexibly
