Planning Manager – Residential Development

This opportunity sits with a well -established residential developer delivering small to medium -sized strategic sites across Greater Manchester and the wider North West.

The role offers genuine ownership of projects, working client -side from site identification through planning strategy, consent and delivery. It is well suited to an experienced planner looking to step into a commercially focused, influential position within a growing development business.

The Role

As Planning Manager, you will take responsibility for managing planning strategy across a portfolio of residential schemes, acting as the key planning lead and point of contact for external consultants and local authorities. Responsibilities include:

• Leading planning strategy for small to medium strategic residential sites
  

• Managing and instructing external planning consultants
  

• Overseeing the preparation, submission and negotiation of planning applications
  

• Advising internal teams on risk, viability and programme from a planning perspective
  

• Supporting land acquisition through planning appraisals and due diligence

About You

• MRTPI qualified
  

• Proven client -side planning experience within residential development
  

• Strong understanding of planning strategy, risk management and delivery
  

• Confident stakeholder manager with a commercial mindset
