Planning Manager – Commercial Development

This opportunity sits with a well -established commercial developer and investor delivering small to medium -scale strategic sites across Bristol and the wider South West.

The role offers a genuinely client -side position, providing ownership of planning strategy across a varied commercial portfolio. It would suit an experienced planning professional looking to move into, or further develop within, a commercially focused development environment.

The Role

As Planning Manager, you will lead planning strategy across multiple commercial schemes, acting as the primary interface between internal stakeholders, local authorities and external consultants. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and managing planning strategy for commercial and mixed -use sites
  

• Instructing and coordinating external planning consultants and technical teams
  

• Overseeing the preparation, submission and negotiation of planning applications
  

• Advising development and investment teams on planning risk, programme and value
  

• Supporting site acquisition through planning appraisals and due diligence

About You

• MRTPI qualified
  

• Proven client -side planning experience within commercial or mixed -use development
  

• Strong understanding of planning strategy, commercial risk and delivery
  

• Confident managing stakeholders with a commercially driven mindset
