Job Description - Planning Manager (Uber)

About the Role:


As EMEA planning manager, you will play a pivotal role working closely with planning director and Uber central team in assisting different local markets in developing local strategies based on core briefed KPI’s across both line of business – Mobility and Delivery. Working closely not just with local markets but also special business units such as digital activation teams. This role involves various aspects of planning from audience analysis, insights gathering client comms and management. The main support is needed on scaled campaigns, that are predominantly digital first so strong understanding of digital biddable channels is preferable.  This role will cover predominantly offline planning and online support across the team. We are looking for a strong communicator who is agile, accountable and resourceful.


Key responsibilities:



  • Support planning director becoming the primary day to day contact for Uber Central team developing close working relationships with our clients

  • Project and account management to align teams and agency resources, as well as external partners, see campaigns through from briefing to delivery

  • Co-ordination of digital team and EMEA markets, strong communication skills needed to work with different markets

  • Using tools and resources to generate insights into consumer behaviour, and media choices

  • Creating clear and impactful presentations and media plans to communicate our recommendations to our clients

  • Working closely with specialist teams (digital) and creative agencies to deliver effective creative and media solutions for our clients

  • Assist with bi-weekly report insights, campaign post buys, writing of case studies or award entries that will contribute to promotion of our work on Uber.

  • Confident with finance processes and management of trackers and PO’s. Ability to assist various markets with Uber’s internal finance workstreams


Capabilities:



  • Proven experience in client account management and have strong client management skills

  • Effective communication and presentation skills

  • Solid media planning skills and knowledge of digital trends and landscape

  • Great organisational skills with high attention to detail

  • People recognise you as a team player, with the ability to work across wider teams and foster collaboration and new ways of working

  • You may have hands on experience buying certain media or even hands-on experience of digital buying (Facebook Business Manager, Google Adwords)

  • Proficient computer skills especially Google Docs and preferably good eye for design

  • Preferable knowledge of media measurement techniques

  • Proven track record on managing and co-ordinating more than 4 markets simultaneously

  • Some knowledge on implementing new ways of working
