Planning Technician (Complaints, FOI & Finance)

Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Lewisham Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Planning Technician (Complaints, FOI & Finance) this role will be based at: 2 days office based 3 days remote SE6 4RU

The right candidate will:

* Handling, monitoring and coordinating planning service complaints (including logging, tracking, performance reporting and quality assurance of responses)

* Coordinating and responding to Freedom of Information (FOI) and related information requests (including collation, redaction support and deadline management)

* finance support including income monitoring, cost recovery, debt chasing and reconciliations; producing management information and reports

* Maintaining accurate records across relevant planning systems to support effective casework, complaints and information governance processes

* Supporting operational processes including purchase orders, invoices and supplier set-up, ensuring compliance with financial controls and audit requirements.

* To manage the end-to-end administration of planning service complaints, including logging/acknowledgement, tracking deadlines, coordinating input from service areas, quality-checking draft responses and ensuring replies are issued within required timescales
