We have 1 permanent vacancy for a Plant Electrician. within the Premix Production Department working on a dayshift rotation (6.00am – 3.00pm and 09.00am – 6.00pm).  There will also be a requirement to work additional hours for breakdowns, as well as one Saturday a month for maintenance.

Your key responsibilities:

• Carrying out maintenance tasks on fully automatic batching plant and packing machines.


• Understanding the scope and safety issues relating to allocated work.


• Signing off the RAPTW and initiate a handover of the equipment to production.


• Manage & maintain all electrical jobs/maintenance on Ultimo.


• Scheduling work and ordering parts within maintenance budget.


• Carrying out defined work in accordance with DSMs SHEQ requirements.


• Recording relevant job history.


• Entering an accurate time recording for the job.


• Completing all relevant paperwork

You bring:

• The successful candidate will be expected to be a time served Electrical tradesman with an ONC or equivalent through knowledge and experience


• At least 5 years’ experience in an automated environment. 


• Candidates should have a proven track record of technical competence in their own area of discipline with fault finding and manual skills. 


• Other essential behaviors are: good communication, flexible approach, self-starter and team player.


• Preference will be given to any person who has in-depth Ultimo experience, as well as to those with CompEX certifications.
