Plant Fitter - Heavy Plant Equipment

Zachary Daniels is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established client in the heavy plant sector, currently seeking an experienced Plant Fitter due to continued growth.

This role requires you to be based in or within a commutable distance of Coventry, Leicester, Derby, or Northampton. You'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a large fleet of heavy plant machinery used across the quarrying and material processing sectors.

• 40 hours per week with 30 minutes per day allocated for lunch

• Service, repair, and diagnose faults on a wide range of heavy earthmoving equipment

• Perform electrical fault finding and component overhauls

• Carry out welding and gas cutting where required (advantageous)

• Work autonomously on customer sites, ensuring high levels of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction

• Maintain accurate records of work and communicate clearly with the operations team

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Heavy Plant Maintenance (or equivalent qualification)

• Experience with brands such as Volvo, Caterpillar, Komatsu or similar heavy plant machinery

• Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical repair skills

• Comfortable working independently and self-motivated to complete tasks efficiently

• A full UK driving licence

• CSCS card, First Aid, and EPIC Quarry Passport are desirable (training can be provided)
