Mobile Plant Fitter (Regional)

Location: Essex
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm

We are recruiting for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join an established engineering team supporting a broad range of plant and machinery.

This is a hands-on position suited to an experienced engineer who can independently diagnose faults, carry out repairs and keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

The Role

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
Carry out routine servicing, inspections and testing.
Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
Attend customer and operational sites to diagnose and repair equipment.
Use computerised diagnostic equipment to identify faults.
Complete accurate service records, job sheets and supporting documentation.
Manage repairs from initial diagnosis through to completion.
Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Equipment

The role will involve working on a varied range of mobile and site-based equipment, including:

Excavators
Dumpers and dump trucks
Crushers and screeners
Wheeled loaders
Skid-steer loaders
Compaction equipment
Generators and pumps
Lifting equipment
Hydraulic attachments
Hand tools and associated site equipment

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter or similar.
Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
Experience using computerised diagnostic equipment.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
The ability to complete clear and accurate service documentation.
Your own tools.
A full, clean UK driving licence.
