An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Plant Manager to join and lead a pioneering renewable energy facility operating at the forefront of low-carbon technology and sustainable energy generation.
As Plant Manager, you will oversee the successful operation of the plant, driving safety, efficiency, technical performance and commercial success. Working closely with the Board of Directors, you will play a key role in shaping the future growth and direction of the business while building a high-performing operational team.
We are looking for a commercially aware and technically capable leader with experience managing operations within an industrial, processing or technical environment.
What you'll be doing:
Lead the day-to-day operation of the plant, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant performance. Develop and maintain operational procedures, performance standards and health & safety practices. Manage, develop and support operational staff, fostering a strong safety culture and positive team environment. Oversee supplier, contractor and customer relationships to ensure high standards of delivery and service. Support commercial growth by identifying new opportunities and maintaining strong stakeholder partnerships. Ensure accurate operational, financial and compliance reporting to the Board. Represent the business professionally with partners, regulators and industry stakeholders.Essential Skills & Experience:
Management experience within an operational, industrial or processing environment. Strong understanding of health & safety and regulatory compliance. Experience managing teams, contractors and operational performance. Commercial awareness with strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building abilities.Desirable
Experience within renewable energy, environmental, waste or industrial sectors. Knowledge of plant operations, thermal processing technologies or regulated environments. Experience with accreditations, certification schemes or sustainability projects.Salary: £42,000 - £47,000 per annum Location: Warrington Hours: Full-time, flexible hours with some on-call requirements Reporting to: Board of Directors
Benefits will include an excellent pension (7% employer contribution) & 24 days holiday - increasing to a max of 29 days for each year worked) Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
