Role: Plant Maintenance Technician
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Location: Southampton
Hours: Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent

A well-established business operating within the heavy industrial and recycling sector is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team in Southampton.

This is a hands-on maintenance role working across a range of static, heavy mobile plant, and associated machinery.
You'll be responsible for keeping critical equipment running safely and efficiently, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs. There is also regular overtime available.

What you'll be doing:

Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of heavy industrial plant
Diagnosing faults and carrying out breakdown repairs
Working on shredders, balers, shears, conveyors and associated equipment
Inspecting machinery and identifying potential faults, defects and safety issues
Carrying out preventative maintenance to maximise plant uptime
Diagnosing hydraulic faults and carrying out repairs where required
Working alongside the wider maintenance team to resolve faults quickly and safelyWhat we're looking for:

Previous experience in a Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Fitter or similar role
Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills
Experience working on heavy industrial or processing machinery
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification
Good understanding of hydraulic systems
Working knowledge of 3-phase electrical systemsWhat's on offer:
