Plant Quality Engineer

Position Title:               Plant Quality Engineer

Roles and responsibilities of the project:

Level of experience required for this mission: Experience Engineer 3-5 years of 1st proven experience in the Automotive industry (Minimum 2 different positions, such as Program Quality Leader, Development Engineer, Plant Quality Engineer, Process Engineer, etc.)
Travel expected: Yes. Customer visits in Gaydon or Solihull (UK)
As member of Program Core Team, represent the Customer Voice within the company and ensure the interface with the customer and internally with the others functions on quality matters with following tasks:
Achieves the Quality objectives - including Safety & Regulation, Environmental - such as the PPM, Scrap,... including Perceived quality and cascade them to the internal and external suppliers.
Have the authority to stop any process or product delivery in case of serious non-conformance (customer expectations or safety and regulations issues,...)
Leads the development and production process for measurement, checking and testing fixtures and gauges.
Defines the control plans
Is responsible for conformity, perceived quality and traceability of any parts delivered to the customer all along the development phase until Gate 4.
Reports on a monthly base the progress of his activity (3PR level 2).
Lead the relation with Customer Program Quality.
Apply Program Management System and Engineering Change Management and Faurecia tools and standards.
Ensure the use of the appropriate methods and quality standards (PMS, specific Customer program development system, international regulations, etc.)

Skills:

Interior Trim systems (Door trims, Console, Instrument Panel)
Engineering degree (Quality, Management or Mechanical)
At least 5 years of experience as program quality engineer or plant quality engineer in an automotive company or Tier 1 supplier.
Quality knowledge (DFMEA, PFMEA, Control plan, Fixtures / Gages, Measurement, Problem solving methodology: 8D - Green Belt / Black Belt - Variability reduction, Schedule-A report (APQP), PPAP, Appearance approval (AAR)
Monitor and improve manufacturing processes and quality performance
Support audits and compliance to IATF 16949
Maintain quality documentation and reports
Leadership and Team oriented

High level of autonomy
Process knowledge as Injection, Welding, Painting, Assembly
Previous experience with Tier 1 supplier production
Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
