We are looking for an experienced Plant Technician to join our busy and supportive Plant / Workshop team based in Harefield.
This is primarily a workshop-based role, where you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of a wide range of construction plant and equipment. From time to time, you will also travel to operational sites to attend breakdowns and support plant-related activities.
About the Role
As a Plant Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring company plant and equipment remains safe, compliant and fully operational. Your work will directly support operations by minimising downtime and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong experience across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, and a proactive, safety-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of plant and equipment Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults Undertake inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure compliance and safety Maintain and repair towable plant and associated equipment Respond to breakdowns and complete repairs within agreed timeframes, including occasional on-site attendance Work closely with the Workshop Supervisor to prioritise workloads Complete maintenance records, inspection reports and documentation accurately and on time Ensure all work complies with company procedures, manufacturer guidance and legislation Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment Support colleagues within the Plant team as required Promote a positive Health & Safety culture at all times
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Plant Maintenance / Construction Plant Repair (or related discipline) Full UK driving licence
Desirable Qualifications
Manufacturer training or accreditations

Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing construction plant Proven fault-finding across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems Experience with towable plantDesirable:
Experience working across a wide range of plant equipment Experience attending breakdowns in a field-based role Knowledge of LOLER and PUWER regulations
