PLANT TECHNICIAN GPS & HFR

PLANT TECHNICIAN GPS & HFR – M6 LOOP SITE – FULLTIME

Reliable Contractors are recruiting for an experienced Plant Technician with expertise in Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and Human Form Recognition (HFR) systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of electro-mechanical plant equipment, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and effectively.

PAYE basis

Paid Holidays: 30 days per year (including bank holidays)

Must Have:

* Level 3 NVQ Plant Maintenance, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Automation or related qualification

* 3–5 years' experience as a Plant Technician

* Experience with GPS and HFR systems preferred

* Experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems

* Hands-on experience with GPS technology and Human Form Recognition systems

* Understanding of electrical, mechanical and control systems desirable

* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

* Good communication and teamwork skills

* Attention to detail and commitment to quality

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

* Willingness to work flexible hours, including possible overtime or on-call shifts

* Physically capable of carrying out manual work and lifting equipment

Key Responsibilities:

* Install, maintain and repair electro-mechanical plant equipment

* Integrate and configure GPS systems within plant operations

* Integrate and configure HFR systems within plant operations

* Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance

* Diagnose and resolve plant equipment faults

* Identify and rectify GPS and HFR system malfunctions

* Work alongside technicians and engineers to identify and implement solutions

* Keep up to date with developments in GPS and HFR technology

* Provide technical support and guidance on system integration and maintenance

* Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities

* Prepare reports on equipment performance and identify areas for improvement

* Communicate equipment status and requirements to management and other departments

* Follow all safety protocols, regulatory standards and company policies
