Plater

Elevation Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a reputable manufacturing business in Bradford to recruit an experienced Plater on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role:
As a Plater, you will be responsible for fabricating heavy steel components from engineering drawings. You'll be working with plate typically ranging from 15mm to 30mm, so experience with heavier gauge work is essential.

Key Duties:

• Marking out, cutting, and assembling plate steel to specification

• Working from detailed fabrication drawings

• Operating hand and power tools, including burning and grinding equipment

• Tack welding components in preparation for welding

• Quality-checking your own work to ensure accuracy and adherence to client standards

• Ensuring health and safety practices are followed at all times

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Plater/Fabricator in a heavy engineering environment

• Strong ability to work from engineering drawings

• Confidence in handling thick plate and structural steel

• Experience with pressure vessels or similar fabrication work is advantageous

• A strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Hours & Pay:

• Monday to Friday – Days Only

• Competitive Hourly Rate

• Overtime available at enhanced rates
