Job Description

Job Purpose

As a Platform Owner, you will be accountable for the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of platforms aligned to the Delivery Stream. This role requires strong leadership, excellent technical understanding, and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders and development teams to ensure the platform meets the needs of both the organisation and its users. You will manage the platform's lifecycle from ideation to execution, ensuring alignment with our business goals and continuous improvement in platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Develop, update, and communicate the platform roadmap and strategy in alignment with business objectives and industry demands

• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, including vendors, live service, and end users, to gather requirements and clarify expectations

• Backlog Management: Create and manage an actionable platform backlog, prioritising backlog items to ensure maximum business value and timely delivery

• Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with the other Delivery Stream members to drive product development and ensure high-quality deliverables

• Performance Monitoring: Work with live service for tracking platform performance metrics and user feedback to identify improvement opportunities and ensure user satisfaction

• Governance and Compliance: Oversee adherence to best practices and compliance standards across platform development and maintenance processes

Qualifications

Strategic Vision: Ability to envision future possibilities for the platforms aligned to the delivery stream and create actionable strategies to achieve them

Customer-Centric: Understanding and prioritising user needs and requirements in all aspects of platform development

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to address challenges and implement effective solutions

Stakeholder Management: The ability to work with senior stakeholders to build, manage and execute complex roadmaps and be able to push back when required

Continuous Improvement: The desire to continually learn and disrupt the status quo with the confidence and maturity to experiment with new methods and tools

Financial Services: Experience within financial services, FinTech or investment management is also highly beneficial.
