Plots & New Homes Manager

Their looking to expand their Development & House Building team is one of the most highly regarded in the region, known for its deep expertise and longstanding client relationships with SME and national housebuilders.

Our client is seeking a Senior Property Lawyer to lead and grow their Plots and New Homes service, working across their Legal 500-ranked Development & House Building and Residential Conveyancing teams.

This is a new and strategic role ideal for someone commercially minded, team-focused, and confident in managing high-volume plot sales work. You’ll be pivotal in supporting both housebuilders and purchasers throughout the development lifecycle.

• Lead and grow the New Homes offering as part of our wider Property Division.

• Act for developers: manage site setup, prepare legal handbooks and plot sale packs, and supervise plot sales.

• Act for purchasers: review site documentation, raise enquiries, and supervise completions.

• Manage and build on panel relationships with national and regional housebuilders.

• Ensure compliance with Land Registry, lender requirements, and the New Homes Quality Code.

• Lead and support a growing team of solicitors, conveyancers, and paralegals.

• Help innovate processes and drive efficiencies using AI-enabled workflows and client data rooms.

• Minimum 5 years’ PQE in residential development or new homes.

• Experience acting for both developers and purchasers.

• Strong understanding of site setup, infrastructure arrangements, and lender expectations.

• Proven ability to manage a team and handle high-volume plot sales.

• Solid knowledge of the New Homes Quality Code, CQS, and compliance protocols.

• Strong client care skills, commercial acumen, and a proactive mindset.

• Hybrid working - Reading-based (5 mins from station) with flexibility working from home 2-3 days.

• Easy commutablity from London, Oxford, Bristol, Southampton, with direct train links within an hour.
