Our client is seeking an experienced Plumbing Assessor / Apprenticeship Tutor to join their team on a temporary 3-month contract based in Worksop. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified assessor with a strong plumbing background to support apprentices through their learning journey and help them achieve their qualifications.
The successful candidate will have previous experience assessing plumbing apprentices and possess the relevant vocational and assessment qualifications required to deliver high-quality apprenticeship provision.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver apprenticeship training and assessment for Plumbing learners.
* Conduct workplace assessments, reviews and progress monitoring.
* Support apprentices in achieving their qualifications and apprenticeship standards.
* Maintain accurate learner records and ensure compliance with awarding body requirements.
* Provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to learners to maximise achievement rates.
* Liaise with employers and curriculum teams to ensure positive learner outcomes.
* Ensure all delivery meets quality, safeguarding and regulatory requirements.
* Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Requirements
* Occupational competency and industry experience within Plumbing.
* Relevant Plumbing qualification up to Level 3.
* TAQA/CAVA, A1 Assessor Award or equivalent assessing qualification.
* IQA qualification or experience within Internal Quality Assurance.
* Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards and funding requirements.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
Desirable Requirements
* Teaching qualification (PTLLS, AET, CET, DET or equivalent).
* Experience delivering apprenticeship programmes within an FE College or Training Provider environment.
* Current knowledge of industry legislation, regulations and best practice.
