Your new company
We are recruiting on behalf of a Mechanical & Electrical sub-contractor dedicated to delivering high-quality services. They are currently seeking a seasoned Plumbing Buyer to join their dynamic team and contribute to their continued success. You will be working in conjunction with leading national house builders to supply plumbing materials.
Your new role
As a Plumbing Buyer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and inventory of plumbing materials. Your role will ensure that the company has the right products to support their operations efficiently.Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement:
  Identify and purchase plumbing supplies, equipment, and materials from reliable suppliers, securing the best prices and quality.
• Inventory Control:
  Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
• Supplier Relations:
  Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing effectively.
• Order Management:
  Coordinate and manage orders to ensure timely delivery and prevent stockouts that could disrupt operations.
• Documentation:
  Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and any discrepancies.

What you'll need to succeed

• Demonstrated experience in purchasing, ideally within the plumbing or construction sector.
• In-depth knowledge of plumbing products, materials, and equipment.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organisational abilities.
• Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.

What you'll get in return

• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 per annum
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
