PMLD and SLD - Lecturers

• Location: Uxbridge/Hayes
• Salary: £32,455 to £45,260 per annum including London Weighting
• Job Type: Full Time (1 permanent post; 2 fixed term)

We are seeking to appoint full-time Lecturers to teach students with a range of needs such as Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Autism. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students by providing a holistic education programme that integrates the physical, academic, social, and emotional needs of individual students.

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and implement individual curriculum programmes for students with PMLD, SLD, and Autism.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of students.
• Assess students' progress and adapt individual plans accordingly.
• Work collaboratively with other staff to enhance the learning environment and support systems for students.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the educational programme.

• Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Preferably a Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector, or willingness to undertake teacher training.
• Specialist SEN qualification is desirable.
• Experience in providing teaching and learning support to students with ASD, SLD, and PMLD in a Further Education environment.
• Good working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
