PMLD Teaching Assistant

Are you a compassionate and skilled professional looking to support pupils with complex physical and medical needs? We are looking for Teaching Assistants with training in personal care, hoist use, and moving & handling to join our dedicated and inclusive team.

In this vital role, you will support pupils with a range of physical disabilities and medical needs, ensuring their safety, dignity, and full access to learning opportunities. Your duties will include:

• Providing personal care, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene assistance

• Using hoists and other mobility equipment safely and effectively

• Supporting pupils with safe moving and handling practices throughout the school day

• Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to meet individual care and education plans

• Experience in a similar care or educational support role

• Up-to-date training in personal care, hoist use, and moving & handling

• A respectful, patient, and proactive attitude

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
